More Salty Flies

I am still on my mission to fill up my Satwater flybox before our long awaited holiday next week. Cannot remember when last I have sat down and tied so many flies in one go. Luckily these are fairly easy to tie.Today I tied up some crease flies. Hope the fish likes them.

  1. Good looking flies! I don't know anything about where you are fishing , but here on the East Coast of the US , pink is an awesome choice. I'd recommend it for bluefish (probably "Shad" in your part of the world). Lots of guys will tie a little bit of pink jair on the back or belly of a clouser.

Best of luck and tight lines! I'm always a fan of your tying , whether I comment or not :)

  2. Those are AWESOME looking!!! My local bass would just crush those beauties!!! Nice tie. Any chance of garnering a recipe or atleast a materials list so I could tie up some of those babies?

How goes the fishing season thus far? good luck on holiday.

    1. Thanks for the comment Seth. Crease flies are real easy to tie. All you need is some 2mm foam. Some marabou, SF blend or bucktail for the tail, superglue and some permanent markers. Will try to get an SBS up sometime but in the meantime just google Crease flies and you will find a ton of info.

  3. Nice Crease flies, I usually have mine tied with the hook pushed up rather than riding on the bottom. Ever try that? JGR
